How to check a truck part fits your Isuzu, Hino or Fuso

Painted grille 133cm to suit Isuzu NPR 150

Ordering the wrong panel for a truck costs you freight both ways and more days off the road. These five checks take a couple of minutes and get it right first time.

1. Find your truck's model code

The name on the door (Elf, Forward, Giga, Ranger, Canter, Fighter) covers lots of different trucks. The model code is what matters, for example NPR 150, FRR 210, FM65F or FN2524. You'll find it on the registration papers, or on the compliance plate on the cab, usually inside the driver's door jamb.

Match it to the "to suit" line on our listing. Every listing says which models the part suits.

2. Narrow cab or wide cab?

Many trucks came with a narrow and a wide cab, and the bumpers, grilles and front panels are different. The easiest check is to measure across your old part and compare it with the size in our listing: for example a 110cm narrow front panel or a 133cm grille on an Isuzu NPR, or a 205cm, 220cm or 225cm bumper on an Isuzu Forward.

3. Left or right?

LH means the left-hand side when you're sitting in the driver's seat. In New Zealand that's the passenger (kerb) side. RH is the driver's side. Lights, corner panels, fenders and door parts are sold by side, so check which one you need.

4. Match the part number

Most of our listings show a part number, for example 8980750260 for an Isuzu NPR alternator or ME300682 for a Fuso starter. If your old part still has its label or stamp, compare the numbers. You can type a part number straight into the search on our site.

5. Electrical parts: check the voltage

Starters, alternators and motors come in 12V and 24V. Check the label on your old part against our description before you order.

Painted parts

Painted panels and bumpers come in a base colour, usually white or black. Colour-matching to your truck is done by you or your panel shop.
